Using A Doll Cake Mold
I am using the Wilton Wonder Doll Mold to bake a cone shaped cake. Do not worry if your cake batter does not rise fully. Refer to my hack for height below.
There is a heating core in this set which helps cake batter rise but I have omitted it because my deck oven is too low to fit the stand and core. So I taped the hole at the bottom with parchment paper and baked the cake at a lower temperature of 150oC for an hour.

To ease cake release after baking, the doll mold needs flouring as shown in the video, instead of the normal parchment paper method because of its odd shape. This is done by brushing with fat and coating with a layer of flour, then discard the balance flour from the mold.
